135mm f4.5 non-standard Elmar (Gar Shelf#12 Box#2 Item#842). The tripod fitting is missing (this is taped over) there are holes in the barrel (made that way).
The lens focus has been cleaned and lubed and is smooth and works beautifully. The diaphragm blades have been cleaned and lubricated and work just fine, nice and smooth. The main front glass element groups have been removed and most dust has been taken out. The different lens groupings have not been taken apart.
The front glass shows light colored reflections but is not to bad (see pictures). This lens should take photographs just fine. There is a small ding near the front nothing major (see photo). The lettering is fairly clean. This optic was produced in 1931 (pre-1932) and was designed to go with camera #842.
It's not rangefinder coupled which is how they made the early optics. This lens was made to fit camera #842. Focusing was done by scale since it was not rangefinder coupled.
