LEICA Summicron f=5cm 1:2 SUMMICRON 2/50mm - Prime Lens Made by E. Sent with Australia Post Standard Large Box/Satchel. The first year or so of production (below about serial number 1,050,000) emits about 20 microSieverts per hour at the front of the lens (0.2 mR/hr or 2 µSv/hr from rear of lens), while lenses made from 1956-on are inert. This, as all SUMMICRONS, was very popular. 60 year old German optic that is full of character, both physically and in imagery terms.
Excellent condition all around with minimal cleaning marks. Lens clear no fungus, hazing and internal dust very clear.
Lens dials turn as expected. Aperture blades open and close as expected and contain only minimal oiling. M39 screw M bayonet most commonly on the Leica III range.
Film Tested in all aspects. If you are an artist or someone who appreciates classic lens looks, then this is the perfect companion.
